Winter Wedding- The Rinks

Ahh winter. Some people love it. A lot of people hate it. Personally, I actually like winter– especially for a winter wedding! The Rinks got married on an absolutely gorgeous day in January at Wedgewood Boulder Creek. The couple fully embraced the winter theme and chose a very textural and wintery floral palette. Also, can I just say I am in love with the color scheme? Navy and burgundy are just so lovely in the winter.

For her bridal, Hunter chose a beautiful, very textural color scheme. We made her bouquet with shades of everything from what to deep burgundy, and can we just say we are so proud of how it turned out! Those big burgundy ranunculus are just stunning. Plus, the thistle adds so much interesting texture! We also incorporated some pretty evergreens to her winter wedding bridal bouquet. And finally, that hanging amaranth added so much texture against the streamers we made for her bouquet. We wanted her bouquet to accent her STUNNING dress, not overpower it.

For their ceremony, the couple chose to incorporate some florals into their arch, which I am always a huge fan of! I think floral arches always make ceremony pictures look so romantic. In this picture you can also the groom’s boutonniere, which I also think every wedding should have! For this couple we made a beautiful boutonniere that played off the bridal bouquet so nicely.

After the ceremony, the couple of course, threw a reception! Due to COVID, the Rinks decided on a smaller wedding and only had about 50 guests. This is perfect for the intimate creekside location. And even more perfect for a gorgeous, intimate OUTDOOR reception in January. Yup, you read that right! This couple had an outdoor reception in January. It was perfect! So cozy, warm and romantic.
